How it all went down

September 27 Last Wednesday, I started the first stages of labor that night and when TML got home from work I was in allot of pain and he called the doctor and the doctor just came to the house to check me out and told us to come to his office at 9 am to see if I was progressing fast enough to go the hospital. Well around 6 am my water broke and I took a hot shower, and TML called the doctor and let him know that my water broke. The doctor called us back at 7, and told us to meet him at the hospital at 8. So at like ten to 8 I got up and got dressed cooked us breakfast. We arrived at the hospital about 8:20 and the doctor was waiting in the lobby for us walked us up to my room checked me again, and then he said he was going to go to his office and he would be back in an hour.

One hour Mexican time isn’t really an hour, so he went to his office and hard labor kicked in. During the supposed hour TML called the doctor I don’t know how many times and told him to come back. When he got back I was ready to push and they got me into the delivery room, I pushed the baby out in four pushes, and all is good in the hood.

I don’t know if I would have another baby without an epidural. I had an epidural with Tarzan and I didn’t have an epidural with the new baby. If I could do it over again I would opt for the epidural.

The one thing that was the most amusing is that I heard the nurse offer him scissor I think 3 times, and he finally told her she doesn’t want them. So there wasn’t any cutting and I am overall very happy with my birthing experience and my doctor.

Yeah CJ!!! I'm so glad that you didn't have ANY cutting. It's very hard to have a baby w/o meds if you don't have good qualified support. All in all though, considering where you are,it was probably best for both of you that you opted out on the epidural, it may have turned out very differently otherwise.

I want more pictures.
