How do you know you might have possibly breastfed you child to long? Maybe when you can’t ever be topless around you almost 3 yr. old because all he wants to do is grope you. Or if you choose to sleep with out a shirt on and you are woken up by your almost 3 yr. old because he is touching your boobs and screaming boobies because for him it is like he has just one the lottery.
Tarzan was breastfed until he was 16 months old, and the only reason I put a stop to the madness was because at the time I was very much a single mom and Tarzan was literally sucking the life out of me. I struggled with this decision and feeling like people would be disappointed in me because I stopped before he turned two. Now that I am pregnant again, there isn’t any doubt that I will breastfeed yet again; I won’t breastfeed Tarzan again, but the new baby. I am not sure how Tarzan is going to handle that, especially on those rare weekly occasions when Tarzan tries to latch on again. How long will I breastfeed the new arrival, time will only tell. For sure the first year, but how much time after that I don’t know.
